I am new in this forum. I seek some help to identify a strange noise in my engine. It is not a rattling noise, it is more to a "electronic" noise when accelerated over 2k RPM. I know it is pretty vague, but maybe you have some ideas.
The car is with 222500km. I went to several services and they dont know or dont identify the noise. No issues with the timing chain or so and the noise was not there before and it seems to come from inside thr engine.
At last I went to the authorized vw service and they said the timing chain needs to be changed, but as a foreigner in a foreign country, I had my doubts as the engine is working fine, not out of sync or so. Any ideas?
Btw does anyone have a copy of the owners manual to share?
