2011 GTI Manual Redlined and now EPC light and P1579, P0122, P0222 Codes

My son has a 2011 GTI (first car) with manual transmission and is trying to learn to drive a stick for the first time. He missed a shift and went to 2nd instead of 4th and redlined the motor and then immediately got an EPC light and the car went into limp mode (no more than 1800 rpm in limp mode). I pulled the codes and got: P1579, P0122, P0222 Any ideas on what to do to repair / reset? I cleared the codes but they immediately come back . . . even without trying to start the car.

I'm a bit puzzled how a missed shift and/or over-rev would cause these throttle body codes:

P0122 doesn't have a Wiki page, but it's: Throttle Position Sensor (G69): Signal too Low

So they're all throttle body codes. Check wiring to throttle body.
