A6 2018 C7.5 - memory seat passenger mirroring

Hi,

On my previous Audi A5 the MMI had an option to move the passage seat into either fully back mode or to mirror the drivers current position. It was nice to have and selecting this option from the MMI would automatically adjust the passenger seat electronically to mirror the drivers seat position. My A6 only has one option under seating to do with key usage but nothing about moving the passenger seat. I do have electric memory seats and the manual states I should have the ability to move the passenger seat as the A5 used to allow. Any ideas? Guessing it’s a tweak away under a certain adaptation.

Hard to say without an Auto-Scan, but take a look at Coding in your driver's side door control module.

Read the manual yesterday (RTFM!) and there should be MMI options out the box as my car has electric memory seat, with no need from tweaking anything. CAR-SYSTEMS-VEHICLE SETTINGS-SEATS-PASSENGER SEAT: Adjust Seat Position & Align With Drivers Seat. Only I don’t see these options on the screen.

I’ve been looking into this also and it seems it only applies to the comfort seats that have memory for the passenger too.

I now get the following MMI option:

However the drivers controls do not move the passenger seat at this stage. I tried the passengers seat controls which still work, and the drivers seat controls don't move the drivers seat with the MMI option selected. It is almost working, just something missing. Hoping its software!

No I didn’t as the menu option appeared immediately and the drivers seat controls didn’t move the drivers seat (as expected), but didn’t control the passengers seat as they should. Assumed it’s a coding issue not an MMI reset but will try that and report back.

Thanks for your help so far. I don't have a coding for an A6 C7.5 with this function. I may have my old A5 coding where it worked but expect that's completely different.

Ah ok, thanks for finding out. So Audi removed the module 06 to save some money? That is disappointing, guess they were fitting the unit on older models with non-memory electric seats and worked out it wasn't needed.
Would it be as simple as plugging in the correct module and code it?
