Maybe not applicable as my car is a B8 S4? but when I looked into this there was nothing to be found in VCDS to enable it, however a simple check box in the green menu and it works fine.

Thanks for the suggestion, I understand there is no green menu on this latest MMI (A6 C7.5)

Update: 5F with 24/5 set in combination with the multimedia-optical set ON works. Audio CDs now copy (DVDs don't).
