    Quote notiications

    Dear admins,

would it be possible to receive a notification when quoted?
I often receive notifications of being liked (obviously ) but not when quoted.
Nowadays I do start visiting the forum on the new post list --> https://forums.ross-tech.com/search....e=vBForum_Post
The green 'participation' indicator does make stuff a bit easier, to keep the interaction going.
But maybe a quotation notification would be good as well?

Good question. I've seen this feature in some other forum software (Xenforo) and agree that it is quite handy. But I don't think I've ever seen it on the software we are currently using (vBulletin 4).

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

But personally, I would not use a "notification" feature that generated a PM every time. The forum has real Notifications, such as the ones that tell you when you have a PM, and when you've received a LIKE. That strikes me as the right way to do it.
