Trying to access Injector Coding, but not accepting Security Access Code

Hi All

Long time browser, first time poster.

This is about my own VW Caddy 1.6tdi CAYC Engine.

Had the fix done, 6 months later, injector had a hissy fit. Have fitted a nearly new injector (less than 4 weeks old), now trying to do anything along the lines of coding it or soft reset or anything, it says I need security access, so I jump back out of the coding section, into security access, and key in the code that appears in the pop up, 27971, but then comes up saying controller refused to send seed Error 7F Service not supported in session or something along those lines. So I then tried 12233, and have the same issue.

Anyone have any ideas on why?

I have pasted a copy of an auto scan below(ignore the Nav/stereo problems, I just haven't finished fitting my new radio, and the Oil Temp problem has been cleared now, although the Gateway fault is mystifying me the more I think about it)

Which injector did you change?
What channel are you trying to "code" it to?
Did you put a 0 at the end of the IIC-Code as printed on the injector?

The injector, for whatever reason, maybe because it was a slightly used one, was already coded, so I'm happy enough with that.

More annoyed about the security access in case I need it another time. Wanted to sift reset the injectors, but needs the code for that too.

Windmills do not work that way -- i.e. injectors do not code themselves.

Well this is the second one that I have been asked to code and its already been in. Either way that isn't the problem ATM, its the security code that's not working.

Are VW able to lock these things out?

OK in a further development, I left the motor for a while and went back to it, started it and checked a couple of things, then went into security access nd it accepted the code, however to code amend anything in the adaptations for the injectors, the engine needs to be off, at which point it won't accept the adaptation, so I go back to security access, and it won't let me in again and rejects the code with the error 7f controller refused to send seed.

So my theory atm is to leave it for 10 minutes with the ignition on, then try security access with the engine off before trying anything, then hopefully that will be accepted and the adaptation soft reset should work, as with the injector replaced it seems to have acquired a heavy diesel knock. At least if I can get past this it will help the few other people who post about the same issue.

OK So for anyone else who comes up with the "controller refused to send seed" error when entering the security access code, the module seems to take your attempt at coding/adaptation as being an attempt at the security code. Just log out of the module, leave the ignition on for 15 minutes, go back into the module, then directly into security access, key in the code and press enter and it should accept it ok. Now go back out of security access and back into the adaptation/coding module and perform the function you were trying to do initially.
