Audi side assist canbus connection

Had to take a break from fiddling with the car as family came to stay.
Today my new (to me) modules arrived from Germany so tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll remove the rear bumper (again!),do a final wiring check and then install the new units.

Removed bumper, double checked wiring and all seems OK.
Replaced old modules with new.
Good news - the warning light error has gone. Suggests to me that one or other of the modules were faulty.
Bad news - I've got another fault code!
The 3C reports:
U1121 00 (009) Missing message.
Any ideas?

Can you post a scan please. If you've got a v2 cable then it'll be easier to work out what it means.
Just re-ran a full scan.

Raining last night so have scanned this morning.
Please ignore hatch faults - lots of connectors undone.
I'm gong to try and by-pass the loom and connect a warning light directly to the module. This should show if there is a loom issue (damaged wire/ short etc).

On my A5 these connect directly to the Door Controller via a short wire, I can't imagine it being loom damage in that case in both at the same time. Are they connected correctly (polarity)?
On the Q5 retrofit they connect to battery 12v and back to the rear slave module. The only connection within the door is an earth(which I've checked).
The lights, being LEDs, are polarity sensitive and wont work the wrong way round. I think the module drops the return line to earth in order to flash the lights. Certainly touching a grounded wire to the return causes the lights to switch on.

Sorry its been so long since I updated this thread but I've been away on holiday and frankly needed a break from Audi electrics!
When I got back I once again went through the wiring to check for errors but couldn't find anything wrong.
I decided it was time to admit defeat and take the car to an Audi retrofit expert and see if they could spot where i was going wrong.
Today I drove down to HazzyDayz near St Albans and sure enough they identified my error.
Its a little difficult to explain but here goes:
According to the wiring diagram, there are both switched and permanent supplies to the modules. I took supply from two spare fuse positions in the dashboard fuse box, one switched and one permanent
I had always wondered why the modules needed both switched and permanent but assumed the wiring diagram was correct.
In fact the "permanent" supply originates from the modules and not as a separate supply from the fuse box. This wasn't how I interpreted the diagram as it refers to B310 as a "30" connection within the wiring harness which I thought was a permanent 12v and hence hooked it up to the fuse box. And because I connected the warning lights directly to a 12v source, the module generated the "short to positive" error.
Cutting the supply to the warning lights got everything working as it should with no error messages.
Tomorrow I'll go out for a drive and see if I'm going to need re-calibration of the radar modules but since they came off a 2015 SQ5 like mine I'm hoping they'll work straight out of the box.

Good that the problem was found and resolved.
It's not admitting defeat what you showed, it's showing strength when you're able to admit that you cannot fix this. And sometimes it's a good thing to have a second pair of eyes take a look on what you've done. You easily get "blind" for your own work and overlook something
