How to get started

Iam really impressed with the help that ive seen in these forums and would like to move further on:-

1. iam an enthusiast although self employed and dabbly with most things, my two vehicles to start with are treg sport 2005 and a crafter 135 2008.
so iam thinking to start with the free download to get used to the system and then upgrade.

2. I have seen comments on the crafter not being very good with the software, is this an issue or is it sorted, i take it the treg wont be a problem.

3. If its plausable to start with the free version first where and how is this available.

4. i will follow your guidance on this subject.

The free version of VCDS-Lite will work OK on a 2005 Touareg, but is unlikely to do much if anything at all on a 2008 Crafter.

Yes, of course, the full (non-Lite) version will work.
