Hi All,
I am new to the Ross-Tech forum so if there are already threads that cover my issues please feel free to re-direct me towards those post so I can read up on them.
I have an a 2005 Mk5 Jetta TDI that began to have computer module issues a few month's back. Initially the wheel speed sensor light would come on at the same time as my air conditioner would stop working. When I read codes what came up for those systems were as follows:
Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 1K0-907-379-MK60-F.lbl
Part No: 1K0 907 379 K
Component: ESP FRONT MK60 0104
Coding: 0021122
Shop #: WSC 00066 000 00000
VCID: 3A55CFC5751A17969F-806E
1 Fault Found:
01314 - Engine Control Module
013 - Check DTC Memory
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: 1K0-907-044.lbl
Part No: 1K0 907 044 AG
Component: ClimatronicPQ35 066 0505
Shop #: WSC 00000 000 00000
VCID: 6CF9399D4FCE79265D-8038
1 Fault Found:
00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)
009 - Open or Short to Ground
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wheel speed sensor light would occasionally go out on it's own and when it did the AC would start working again, but those stints were always short lived. I started digging around and found a diagram for the fuses in the engine compartment since the plastic encased part of the fuse's all looked like they had surface corrosion. At the same time I began cleaning up grounds (assuming the two systems shared a ground). These attempts made no effective difference; I had begun by targeting the grounds by the ecu and the ones shared by the wheel speed sensor system and the AC system. Then I expanded to all the body grounds as they all looked fairly corroded. On the last ground cleaning, I fired the car and took it down the road. As I was coasting down the hill the car stopped running. I pulled over tried to restart (it cranked but did not fire). I towed the car home, and have begun inspecting the harness for wire breaks and the car has not fired since. In the mean time I have read codes from the ecu and most of the computer systems no longer seem to work, here is the summary:
Chassis Type: 1K (1K0)

62-Door, Rear Left -- Status: Malfunction 0010
72-Door, Rear Right -- Status: Malfunction 0010
7D-Aux. Heat -- Status: Malfunction 0010
I can include full log files to better detail the codes associated with each malfunction. I am looking for direction in case this is a common error. I am curious if it seems likely that the ECU failed, or if it is a wiring failure and what are some common direction to go. Thanks for any and all help.
Connor
