    The Right Way

    Hi, new to this and Iíve probably gone about this the wrong way. Downloaded vcds lite and bought a cheap cable (kkl).

    Iíve got a couple of vag cars - 95 vr6 rado and a 13 SEAT Exeo. Whatís the best way of doing this properly - happy to pay.

    Secondly - how do I find out what the values reported means. I.e what values mean sensors are operating normally eg coolant temp says 85 degrees. I know thatís normal but itís the other values Iím. It sure about - pressure etc.

    I've split you from this thread.

    VCDS-Lite should work fine on (and be completely adequatefor) a 1995 VR6, but not the 2013 Exeo; the latter will have some modules that only communicate via CAN. So IMO, it would be a waste to register VCDS-Lite. Instead, I'd recommend buying a 3-VIN HEX-V2, which will work on both your cars.

    The Seat Exeo is basically a slightly restyled Audi B7 A4 (I owned a B7 RS4 for nearly 10 years) - the talk is that Audi shipped the whole production line to the Seat factory when they switched over to the B8?

    Many modules are on the K & K2(L) lines but important ones line the engine ECU is on CAN so as Uwe says a KKL lead won't be fully functional on the Exeo.
