Thanks to the archaic professional sports TV blackout rules created during the Nixon presidency, I was watching some streaming television from Canada last Sunday. They ran the Nest thermostat commercial with the old man saying that the internets (sic) were going to rise up:
The interesting thing is that the thermostat was set to 18 and not 68 in the product close-up shot at the end! They didn't run it again so that I could see if it was metric in the opening close-ups, but I thought it was neat that they did a special Canadian/metric cut of the commercial for that market. The above is the US version, since the metric one didn't come up in YouTube that I saw.....
