Hi all,
I’m very much a VCDS noob, a friend is looking for someone to code a replacement Central elect control module to his 2004 A4 cabriolet and I’m hoping I can help them.

If it’s a 2nd hand control module will it have component protection?
And is there somewhere I can get step by step instructions or someone here that could give me instructions?
Thanks in advance
Dave

What year A4 Cabrio?
They've existed for a heck of a long time...

So a B6. No component protection. Should be doable with VCDS, no problem. Does he old module still "talk"?

Sorry, i currently know very little.
Not been anywhere near the car yet. He had purely posted a pic of the control module on Facebook and asked if anyone was able to code it to the car.
I presume I’d need to scan the car with original module in place to see if it’s still talking?
