N75 advanced measuring value location

Good day all,

I have a 2011 a4 (CAEB) and am trying to log the duty cycle of the N75 wastegate solenoid. i have seen posts directing me to measuring blocks 114, 118, etc... but my engine controller is UDS and only supports "Advanced measuring values."
i have scrolled the list of check-boxes for anything close to what i am searching for but found nothing that outputs a duty cycle value. ideally, i need and found values for my engine speed, specified boost, and actual boost, but still need the n75 duty cycle so i can graph a run to send to someone. what is the proper name to be looking for, or what is the loc# in Advanced Values menu?

thank you Uwe for your quick reply. i had tried a log with that parameter monitored (i think) and it showed 1.6% (if i remember correctly) and did not budge from that value the whole time i logged that run, so i assumed it was not what i was looking for. i was under the impression that the valve didnt have any kind of feedback (only a 2 wire connection - on or off) with no way of monitoring if it was functioning. so if that value is steady at any value, does that mean the ECU is malfunctioning? like not even sending a pulse to modulate the valve? i will check the connection to the solenoid and make sure all is well but just correct me if im wrong, but the value indicated @ IDE01900 should be what the computer is telling the valve to do, and not what the valve is actually doing? right?

that will narrow it down for me a little bit.

Yep, the ECU can only tell you what it's "commanding" the valve to do; it cannot directly know if the valve is actually doing it.

However, I'm not positive that IDE01900 is really the correct thing. It just seemed like the most plausible one I found in that ECU, so I would not go and assume some sort of malfunction just yet.

If anyone else has any other ideas, please chime in.

well Uwe, i do believe you are correct. i did another log (actual driving log) with IDE01900 and it does seem to function. the first log i did was when doing the N75 valve self-test from the output tests drop down, and the output was @ 1.6% and never moved. the test never said failed so i just assumed that that was the wrong measuring value. but during driving the value changed when the MAP saw positive pressure. im sorry for jumping to conclusions.

just one more question. is the N75 duty cycle "fixed" meaning the cycle is predetermined based on other sensor values, or will it "adapt" and stay open or closed longer to compensate for an irregular running car (such as a boost leak), kinda similar to fuel trims adapting to a vacuum leak. im leaning toward my wastegate actuator diaphragm leaking based on my findings.

if you want my logs just let me know, i can send them. im sure most of the people on this forum can just glance at a log and pinpoint a problem. i haven't the experience to yet do that. maybe one day.

i do want to thank you for your help, and being that this was my first post on this forum for advice, i must say it was a pleasurable one.

I'm confident there's some adaptive stuff going on, but I don't pretend to understand it. Have a look at these:
