Audi A1 P0101 00 [101] - Implausible Signal/IAT problem

Hi there,
Since service was carried out on my Audi A1 1.6tdi Sport , I'm getting an intermittent glow plug curly flashing warning and sometimes the engine management light comes on.

First indication was MAF so I cleaned it thinking the service introduced something to the MAF. Decided to change it after due to high mileage, that didn't fix it.
The other fault showing is the inlet air temperature. (Its a combined unit) The reading on the VCDS is interesting as this is at 130C.
Can't see any issues with cables or leaks in pipes.
Wondering if anyone can give me a clue from the VCDS below?

I can clear it and it returns.
Sometimes (and this may be a red herring) when I am on the motorway and need to brake suddenly it comes on.

The other strange thing is the filler cap lock, looks like its faulty. Could they be linked?

I really doubt that the tank flap fault code has anything to do with the engine faults.

Digging a bit more,
3 Wires are on the sensor socket.
Right pin (not numbered) 5V supply to the Sensor is fine.
Left pin is ground
centre pin has very low resistance (to ground), I don't know what it should be but I suspect this is the reason the temp sensor is reading 130C.

I'm guessing this goes into the control unit.
So unless there's something in the cables?
I don't have a tracker to chase the short unfortunately.
Looks like one for the garage now.

Hi Muckster i've the same problem , whats your solution ? My car do a lot of smoke and the P0101 when i drive for about 80/90 km/h
