hello

is it possible to trace the hex net location or who is using it ?

I lost my second hex net head already... either because I left it connected to a car or a co worker found it and didnt say a word. how can i find it? are any way to trace it?

I only see one HEX-NET in your records; the one you ordered from us on 2017-04-11.

Your previous interface (from 2015-03-15) was a HEX+CAN.

Is there another HEX-NET that I'm not seeing?

The last sure contact from the HEX-NET that I know about was on 2018-05-15.

I could block it from receiving updates (something that's easy enough to un-do if you get it back).

Victor, are you using the HEX-NET wirelessly? If so, I highly recommend getting one of these:

The plug your HEX-NET into that cable (it's about 3' long) and keep them together as an assembly. Plug the cable into the car's OBD-II socket and put the HEX-NET up on the dash of the car. This has the following advantages:

  • Saves wear and tear on the HEX-NET's OBD-II connector.
  • Makes it unlikely you will damage the HEX-NET if you happen to kick it while it's protuding into the footwell.
  • Gets you better WiFi reception up on the dash under the windshield than you would have in the footwell.
  • Makes it less likely to forget it in the customer's car, and even if you do, the customer is going to notice it up on the dash and likely tell you, "Hey, you left this thing in my car!"

PS: I did this to one of my HEX-NET early on, when I went to set the parking brake on an older Touareg while the HEX-NET was plugged in without an extension:
