Hi all,
I took my 2009 golf CBDC in to a local garage for a service, and now it wont start. I'll shorten the story to key facts;
Fuel filter housing screws were cross threaded, so they didn't change filter
Car started and drove home fine
restarted and drove about a tenth of a mile, put my foot down and car cut out with glow plug light flashing on dashboard.
Towed back to garage
Low fuel pressure shown on diagnostics
replaced common rail pressure sensor - no joy
Replaced fuel filter housing and bled - car started but made terrible squealing noise
Found swarf in HPFP
Replaced HPFP with second hand unit (Including fuel stop solenoid/ Fuel metering valve)
Car does not start
Showing 8bar rail pressure
Towed from first garage to VW specialist
Phoned me to tell me it has petrol instead of diesel in tank (not very likely!)
Drained tank refilled with pump diesel
Phoned back an hour later
Garage has been trying to start with easy start! - No joy
So, does anyone have an ideas or suggestions?
Can I manually open the fuel stop solenoid or inlet manifold flap using VCDS?
Any help would be appreciated!!
