Hi i'm getting this error

Address 08: Auto HVAC Labels: 3Bx-907-044.LBL
Controller: 3B1 907 044 C
Component: CLIMATRONIC C 2.0.0
Coding: 11000
Shop #: WSC 01266
VCID: 213514E5B8D1
1 Fault Found:
01271 - Positioning Motor for Temperature Flap (V68)
37-00 - Faulty

I'm guessing its a faulty motor but was wondering if there was a guide for VCDS Lite wiki for this. I have read for some models you can test the motors using VCDS lite. I have been looking for a guide but with no luck, and after fitting a new motor i think it will need to be calibrated?

Or possibly the mechanism between motor and flap jamming - I had this a couple of time on my previous B7 RS4 until I modified the tabs on the mechanism so it didn't jam. Worth checking as it might save you the cost of a new motor.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping I could use VCDS lite to run a test on the motor and do a visual at the same time?

P.S is this the right place to post this topic?

You could try running Basic Settings in Group 001. Assuming your HVAC module is new enough to support that, it should exercise all the flap motors and re-learn their end-stops. But I'm not sure how you expect to do a "visual at the same time".

An "audible" might be possible as I could certainly hear the flaps operating when I did a similar check on my B7 and watching the VCDS screen at the same time told me which flap was being exercised.
