My problem, I guess, then, is that I can't get 16-Steering Wheel-CODING to accept my coding change. I'm sure I tried every option in the drop-down (in your example, changing 0100 to 6100; mine stock is 0410 - I tried changing it to 6410 numerous times

but every time I got "Coding not accepted" or "rejected" or wording to that effect.

Is there a "Security Access" that I need to access / re-code that module?

hmmm.......... No, I didn't need a SA to make the changes on my module. I don't have access to ETKA, so I don't know if your "AT" version firmware supports ACC (my firmware is E version). If you can change another Bit in Byte 0 in your module (try Bit 2 - rear wiper installed) and you can't change Bit 4-6, perhaps this might be an explanation - just guessing?

Seems is supporting ELECTRONIC CCS via MFSW only
But better is to use google to find this same SWCM and compare coding
ETKA not always right

Spacewaker: Thanks - that's odd then! Found lots of 5Q0 953 521 AT examples on the net, but they ALL had code-strings of 0410, or 0400

The "AT" firmware (I can see the reference to it in the auto-scan): Is that the button hardware itself? Or is that a module located somewhere in the bowels under the dash (or elsewhere)?
(Just wondering what my "upgrade" options might be should it come to that...)

That, my friend, is an impressive setup!

(Thanks for clarifying.)

I'd hesitate to spend on a different module without knowing if the ECU/BCM will accept it...and then get caught in a parts chase.
