Hi all,

my name is Marcello, I have a 2010's Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI.

I use a old version of VCDS (11.11) for verify the status of particular filter.

I have bought a new cable, but it missing a ROD file (EV_EMC16TDI02103L906023D)

Thanks for your advice.

I don't know, the hardware seems genuine but I don't know how I can verify it.
I have bought the cable in a exhibition.

Install it
If your cable continues to work, you got yourself a genuine cable and all your troubles will go away
If your cable dies a sudden death, arrrr, it was a clone.

That's not a definitive test.

However, the serial number shown in the About screen of VCDS is quite definitive, and he could post that.

I 'accidentally' murdered a few clones over the years by connecting them to the regular VCDS program

I have downloaded (from ross-tech site) and installed the last version about 2 weeks ago.

Except the missing rod file, the cable seems work.
