Ahh, ok. I’m not sure but I have seen Crafter posts here. I’m sure a administrator will be by shortly and verify that for you.

Just looked at the new VCDS HEX V2, and the store here in Norway states on the webpage that there's no LT3 available in this one. True or not?
That was the case early on; the HEX-V2 and HEX-NET did not support the MBZ modules in those vans at all, but that was fixed several years ago and they should now work about as well as our older HEX+CAN interfaces. Please understand that support for those MBZ modules is rather limited; they're not VAG modules. VCDS can talk to most of them, but we know very little about them.

LT3 is the Crafter versions, bus, panel van, and truck. Was available in the HEX usb+can version
By LT3, do you mean Volkswagen own production of Crafter, from 2017, Modeltype SY, SZ and MAN UY, UZ ?
Yes that is full supported.
Type 2E is not full supported.

Hello,
I haven't used VCDS software in a few years. I started with a Micro-Can interface about 15 years ago and later upgraded to a Hex-Can. I had to dust it off recently after I triggered an airbag light. I plan on buying a new car in the next year or so, so I know I'll need the one of the new interfaces if I want to make any adjustments, etc. My only concern is backwards combability with newer Hex-Net. If I trade in my Hex-Can, will Hex-Net work with older car models?

Yes, it will, I have a hex-net and played with some older vehicles as well.

thanks. Wasn't sure if I was giving anything up by trading in the Hex-Can.

Early Audi TDIs (~30 years old, never sold in the NAR market) with ECUs that communicate at 240 bits per second don't work with a HEX-NET or HEX-V2 because there's no way to make the UARTs in them go that slow.
