Hey guys, new member of the VCDS community. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on this one. I just bought a 1999 MK4 Jetta 2.0L and there are a lot of fault codes. My main concern(and my wife's) at the moment is the airbag system. The light is on, I scanned the car and 7 airbag faults came up.
My horn doesn't work and I've tested both horns (in the front bumper not the alarm horn) and only one of them works. My cruise control doesn't work either so I thought it might be the clock spring at first. Would the clock spring cause all of these issues?
Based on the research I've already done I'm thinking it's the airbag module. A new airbag module is pretty expensive so I want to make sure that it's the problem before I buy one and code it.
