Hi Guys

I have a 2008 Golf 5 1.9 TDI here that has lost ABS coding somehow. (It also had faulty cluster but we are working on that...)

can anyone please help with the ABS coding for this car?

Hi,

thanks for the reply. That coding isn't accepted...

As regards the cluster.

Old cluster is completely dead. Have second hand cluster fitted and we are trying to adapt it to the car. Cluster is currently saying safe and we can't thnik if it should say this or has it already been locked out.

We have login for old and new cluster and while cluster will accept the login through securtity access immobiliser (25), adaption (10) channel 50 just shows error....

Any ideas on this?

I don't think you can adapt it that way anymore. The 2008 is using IMMO4c and that I think cannot be adapted with SKC's anymore. You'll need a dealer to do the adaptation online.

I agree with downtime.
Furthermore, it is essential for the ABS coding, that we know what VIN the ABS thinks the car has. This VIN needs to match between cluster, immo and engine ECU.

Keep in mind people VIN and PC power class will be required to be a match set for ABS coding.

Ok guys thanks for the advice. Couldn't get cluster adapted so getting nowhere with ABS either. Have had to give up on this one..

If you ship me the clusters and all keys with engine ecu I can marry here and do a proper data transfer with verified ownership record since FOD.

Then the data will reflect continuity to allow for ABS long coding.

When I was a child I indeed wanted to be a Priest, as time went on and real life situations took place, I quickly realized it was not a way I wanted to espouse or put my trust again. When you really believe in the big guy upstairs, it really hurts having that crumble.
Much more earth shattering than Santa Claus or the Easter bunny & took a long time to understand, it is still memories I wish I didn't have to live with.
Kind of like believing in a product & that you put your life's work in, only to be completely disappointed.
