Wiring from the release button in the trunk area to the trailer control module is verified good, but all is still not working as intended, ie. the swiveling tow hook does not unlock and retract / extend.

I did a channel map scan on 69-Trailer and noted that channels 35, 37, 38, 42, 51 and 64-73 require security access. Does anyone have an SA code I can try?

Another thought. Possibly my SW version is off..

    Mine:
    Code:
    Address 69: Trailer (J345) Labels: User\4H0-907-383-V1.clb
       Part No SW: 7P0 907 383 C HW: 7P0 907 383 C
       Component: Anhaenger H07 0073
       Revision: 5H001003 Serial number: 00000125889014
       Coding: 0106040000000000
       Shop #: WSC 31414 790 00001
       VCID: 387F701B8B0C3B8F5F-806C
vs. another one I found from a Rumanian owner:
    Code:
Address 69: Trailer (J345) Labels: None
    PartNoSW:7P0907383J HW:7P0907383C Component: Anhaenger H11 0130
    Revision: 5H001001 Serial number: 00008200204311 Coding: 0106040000000000
    Shop #: WSC 31414 790 00001 VCID: 3F8D25CAAE3F8EBEA8-806A
    No fault code found.
    Part No SW: 7P0 907 383 C vs. 7P0 907 383 J / Revision 5H001003 vs. 5H001001

Same hardware, different software. But there is no obvious update for the 7P0 907 383 C software.

The engineering problems are likely insurmountable. It would be like proposing to land a rocket booster section on a barge floating in the middle of the ocean.

    I don't have any solid contributions however I ran a 7P0 907 383 C search of our scans and 9 out of 10 RoW T'regs used that 69 coding: 0106040000000000

The components were Anhaenger H07 0100 -and- Anhaenger H07 0073

Those vehicles used PR-Code 1M6 Trailer hitch can be mechanically swivellled and electrically activated. For that reason I believe you have the correct coding and agree, this sounds like a wiring or terminal arrangement discrepancy.

I cannot share VINs/scans for privacy reasons .. however if you happen to be seeking a known good RoW VIN to use for parts or repair information searching I'd search our forum for that exact coding string. There are several search results that may be helpful.
