Jack, I own 3 diesels, jetta, beetle, and a Dodge.

I just got used to the brute torque and the muscle, not to mention the mileage.

Am actually afraid of most late model gas as they are just to high strung, and yes diesel is expensive to fix but some trade offs,

Am not against electric, just not sure when you looks up the freeway in the morning for miles and wonder???, if all these were electric, who is supplying all that power.

I live in WA, lots of dams and some wind, but actually most of our power comes out of BC, and we ship ours to the land of CARB. But in NY and such imagine most of it is NG, coal, ECT, don't quote me.

But actually like PRIUS and Camry HB, and thought that coupled with a 70HP diesel would have been the deal. I know a leaf only has a range of 125, and on 120, takes 20 hours, and on 240, 4 hours, just does not compute. Any thoughts?

That module can store a whopping 54 Wh -- about what five 18650s will do. But it is 7-1/2 inches deep, 16-1/2 inches wide, and 7 inches tall, and it weighs 32-1/2 pounds.

Of course it has much lower impedance, and is good for millions of cycles. I'm sure it has a use somewhere, somehow, but the energy density isn't there for it to be used as the primary means of storage for an EV.

Let's so some basic arithmetic on NYC's proposal:

They claim they're going to spend $100 million to provide health care for 600,000 people.

So the cost per person is $167?

Pray tell, how much "health care" does $167 buy these days?

$167 means approx. 15 bottles of Jägermeister which is one per month + back up medicine;)

"Und weiß der Sani keinen Rat verschreibt er gerne Mobilat" is THE typical saying in the cost saving German Bundeswehr...

It´s quite common to use irritating figures and some politicians believe that just saying so is a kind of health care

Was it most likely a shift to more medicaid applications as a cost savings for the city?
