I had my Leon's cluster swapped to newer one. Original was from 2013, new was 2016, brand new 0km cluster. Completely different part number. ODIS rejected Guided function immediately by giving incompatible HW version notification. So we went to manual procedure from that point. IMMO adaptation which adapts the keys + removes CP was done with ODIS + FaZIT connection. Then manually inputted coding, adaptations etc. to the cluster with VCDS.

And I watched the whole process as well and did the manual part myself as I wanted to make sure that mileage etc. are EXACTLY like in the old cluster.

Maybe if the cluster is new enough, the guided function will work? Mine was without J&C crypto scheme and new one was J&C crypto.

I have absolutely no idea what the restrictions would be on this...I just know that it worked on a very early MQB Golf going to Mk7.5 cluster.
I know someone else who installed an Active Info cluster in his Mk2 Tiguan, but it was done the manual way as you have described.

I'm not sure either. If the Golf 7 was from 2014 it already has Johnson Control crypto in the cluster so it is a bit different than the first 2013 MQB cars.

Well, OP has used cluster so that is also no go with guided functions.

I'm trying the same on a Skoda Kodiaq. I've got the SWAP codes generated. They can be entered into the gateway with a tool that also starts with V :-)

The coding - based on several cars should be:

As far as I know it is a SWAP product. With the license there is also some paramaterizon in gateway, same like CCS and MKE. Do with only coding it will no succeed i guess.

I’m guessing Diskoboy is mixing pr code input and SWaP codes.

You can input the pr codes to gateway with the other tool but that does not enable the product.

But you cannot add the SWaP codes/license yourself. You need factory connection for those.

There is a reason why some things are not shared for public!
If VAG finds out how this is done they will shut it down and then nothing will be possible again.
