SQ5 External Sound turned off after an Audi Service

Hi, So long story short, I was hoping to get more out my External Exhaust actuators (Installed Kufatec Sound Booster) but I found no sound at all (Not even in Sport mode - no Audi Drive select, So I activated it via this YouTube post - https://youtu.be/J0cws5oAc4M ), did the Debugging as per Kufatec - all seemed fine. So after VCDS found initially 2 fault codes 2nd one was simple the plug was not properly connected. But the First fault is the most concerning!

Seems that I have done something in my Coding to activate Audi Drive Select in MMI that has caused this, Any clues what I did?

Let's see if we understand correctly: It worked before you had the car serviced, and stopped immediately after?

If so, it's quite possible that the dealer did an SVM to the car that reset some of your changes back to stock...

Actually - I was mistaken - I transposed the dates, the open circuit was at the time of service, I actually seem to have caused the problem with my codiing I have looked athe my VCDS Log I suspect I will be able to restore back to pre coding.

Ok, so I asked the Audi Dealership to "Re-set" the car to Factory settings. So the upshot it that there is only one fault code. Still on "C0-Act. for Ext. Noise" - it reports an open circuit, this corresponds to a tow bar I had fitted. & this has been corrected.

Now to REALLY Odd thing is the when the vehicle is in Park or Neutral there is a clear growl from the exhaust actuators, but moving to Reverse or Drive or depressing the accelerator to sound turns off. The exhaust actuators also turn off with in 5 secs of selecting Park or Neutral.

So on the Hex Net - there is no "Soft. coding", Also unable to reset the fault.

I can not see how to post a screen shot but basically - "VAG Number 8R0 907 160" "Component SAS-GEN 2 AGA H09 0002", Soft. coding = blank, Shop # = Blank. Advanced Measures takes minutes to load info.

I suspect that the control unit failed to be coded at factory - as we have never had an impressive growl from this car

I downloaded that from the support mail and uploaded it to Google but you can use any number of photo-hosting sites.

Next, I couldn't help but notice that's a VM. I would want to try VCDS on a PC natively booting Windows (or bootcamp on a MAC) to see if the communication is identical. However, if that controller doesn't support coding .. some of those blank fields may be perfectly normal.

There's another scan from another car with this same module in this thread. That scan appears to have been done without a VM. It also shows no coding, so I suspect that part is normal.

Thanks Uwe. So I think we can consider those exact results normal but if you have any functional issues, perhaps in other modules, do try on machine booting Windows.

If you haven't done so already I would head back to each controller in the CodingLog and paste back in the factory coding values. I'd do so one at a time, combined with key cycles to see if one in particular resolves the C0 Incorrect Vehicle Type DTC. If it doesn't, I'd move along to the AdpLog entries restoring those back to original to see if one of those caused the conflict.

As far as the electrical Open Circuit DTC is concerned, I would re-check all connections followed by any fuses that may be shown in that wiring diagram. If that Kufatec Sound Booster is plug and play it wouldn't hurt to remove it entirely and see if the electrical fault clears.
