Hi, long time user of VCDS but new to the Forum.

I've just purchased a 2012 Mk6 Golf GTI Edition 35 and have enabled a number of tweaks, Staging, Auto Home etc, but I can't seem to get the mirrors to auto fold when locking and unlocking the car. I've tried following this process (http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthre...de-mirrors-DIY-tutorial-(nice-coding-feature) but when I try and enable Adaption by entering the security code 04354 I receive an error incorrect code. Can anyone help with the correct code please so I can access the Adaption Menu on the door controller.

Just to confirm, I have folding mirrors, which fold on the switch.

Not possible to make mirrors fold with remote with VCDS on MK6. Some have managed to do it by tampering the door control module eeprom directly.

One option is to buy new door control modules that support folding by key fob. Seat Leon and VW Tiguan modules at least should support remote folding.

Note though. The mirrors won't fold even with those when locking the door, you need to keep the lock button pressed for 2 -3 seconds for mirrors to fold.

You can try that already now if the comfort mirror folding is supported. Lock the car but keep the remote lock button presssed for a few seconds. The mirrors should fold.

Apparently this is possible with UK cars, plenty of youtube videos all referencing the same "how to" but I can't try this as I need the security access. Does anyone know the correct code?

The code is correct, but as mentioned by downtime this requires EEPROM access, since you have GEN3 door modules. VCDS only can change GEN4 modules trough adaption.

I‘ve written a guide for both, so that‘s pretty much it.

OK, so I need to check if the comfort mirror folding is available? Can you let me know where I would find that option? If it's not available, I'll have to swap out the door controllers. Can you advise which part numbers? I would need? right hand drive UK spec.

Many thanks in advance

and can you post a link to the guides please?

Nick, where in the UK are you? I might be able to help with the EEPROM access to get this working :)

Thanks, I’m happy using VCDS for mainly diagnostics etc. and enabling extras such as staging, windows up on lock, etc, but when it comes to EEPROM I’m lost!

Any tutorials, how to’s, product needed etc? Any info gratefully received

Many thanks to langers2k EEPROM tweaked and now mirrors fold on 2 second key press and unfold when ignition turned on. Puddle lights working with mirrors folded and unfolded. Many thanks for sorting this, big smile when I returned home and locked the car 😊

So what do you use for EEPROM access? I have a 2012 EOS and would like that feature...

Thank you.

I'm personally using VCP (VAG Can Pro), but other tools might work as well. Also, EEPROM Programmers should work, if you are willing to disassemble your door module.

So does the the Vag Can Pro do all the things my MICRO-Can does plus more?

Thanks

This is the wrong place for discussing that.
