RR4 isn't an engine code. What year is this Tiguan and is it TDI or petrol? The code on the timing belt cover always miss a character off.

When you do an AutoScan the engine code is sometimes shown under the engine scan.

There are loads of Tiguan 2.0 but I don't see TSI they are all TFSI.

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 11/2009-07/2011, Model: Tiguan, Engine Code: CCZA, 147Kw, 200PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI)
Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 05/2008-07/2011, Model: Tiguan, Engine Code: CCTB, 125Kw, 170PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI)
Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 11/2009-07/2011, Model: Tiguan, Engine Code: CCTA, 147Kw, 200PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI), Motronic MED 17
Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 01/2008-07/2011, Model: Tiguan, Engine Code: CAWA, 125Kw, 170PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection (TFSI)

As taken from my new VAG Engine & Transmission Codes app.

The Type Code of the data sticker will give the true engine code and the transmission code. That's on the first page of the service schedule and on the boot floor.
