Hi all,
A friend has an issue with the A/C on a 2009 B6 Passat (UK based).
It doesn't work at all and hasn't done since he has had the car.
All A/C fuses on drivers side fuse panel are OK
Believe compressor is likely to be variable load type (no clutch), though I have not confirmed 100%
No A/C fault codes on VCDS
Refrigerant charge has been confirmed OK by a non specialist shop that uses computerised evacuation/recharge system.
Refrigerant pressure (as indicated on VCDS) does not change when A/C switched on and off. Tiny change if engine revs are increased.
Noted no compressor current (actual) indicated, though perhaps that is normal.
Not sure if pressure shown on VCDS is the LP or HP?
