Hi,

I haven't used my interface in a while, plugged it in (after re-installing VCDS on a new laptop) and it said it needed a firmware update to 0245. Started the update via USB, and halfway it seemed to freeze (kept counting up to 20% then back to 1%, over and over).

I unplugged it, plugged the USB back in and now it can't find the interface, and it's got a flashing red light.

What do I need to do? Please help!

Cheers,
Mike

Check the other thread but mine was the same
except for stopping at 30 percent. Held the button
down for 45 seconds plus a few, power cycled
and opened up VCIConfig. Loaded right up.

Thanks, I've finally got it going.

The missing step for me was to plug it in again (to the PC) without holding down the red button, red LED still flashing, the VIC still doesn't detect the current firmware and still says 'get ds timeout' but you /are/ able to update it using the normal method.

to load but its been running fine.
