Only problem is Julie Brown is blonde in a bottle..........
I've never driven a Prius, but haven't they had two-pedal regenerative braking for the better part of 20 years now?Audi is making a big deal out of two-pedal regenerative braking in the new E-tron quattro but this technology has been around for a while and is in my A3 e-tron:
The most impressive thing is that the e-tron was able to maintain a ~150 kW charge at up to almost 80% state-of-charge.
Good cooling for the battery while being charged! I wonder if the active cooling (compressor and such) run when this is happening?
But of course "brand new" petroleum-powered cars never catch on fire, right?I love the smell of lithium ion burning in the morning & double baked!

Nah.
Read about THIS one? https://electrek.co/2018/12/16/tesla...ullet-battery/
Sounds like a negligent discharge, otherwise the guy wouldn't have forgotten to mention anything about the earsplitting bang just prior.

And how do they recharge the batteries in the mobile charging station?VW's Mobile Charging Station Is A 'Completely New Approach' For EV Network

Chemistry. Math. There is far more energy stored in a gasoline or diesel fuel tank than in an EV battery, even if you include the electrolytes in the battery catching fire. So what would happen with an EV fire? Less damage than with a conventionally fueled car/truck fire. Now Jack envisions what would the below video be like if all the cars were EV with a battery as fragile as this in a wet slippery snow storm & to become a fire ball?
Just what would an EV tunnel fire that goes below buildings in a city net?

Again, there are over 150,000 car fires per year in the US. That's over 400 each and every day. But unlike EV fires, they rarely make more than the local news (if that) because they are so damn common.
