I think this is what you meant? Also when I run the autoscan it gets hung up saying retrieving fault codes on 09. Its still on there as we email for the last few minutes.

What happens if you just do [Select] -> [09-Cent. Elect.] ?

What kind of computer are you using?

Hp laptop running windows 7 and I have tried with and without mcafee on. Have done the door thing over and over nothing changes. If selecting 09 it starts to login and then gives me error unable to communicate with module do I have my doors unlocked, then nothing.

As Adrian mentioned, we exchanged a few emails to/from Support and this began as a RNS-510 Retrofit per a scan from Sunday,17,August,2014. The Auto-Scan included a whopping list of fault codes but we need to fill in the gaps prior to and after the retrofit because they may be directly related to the current condition.

I suspect fuses were either missing at one point ... or the battery voltage was low enough to cause Terminal 30 open circuit DTCs in the BCM .. but that #09 controller was online and communicating in all of the Auto-Scans we have on file. Hopefully the Coding/Adaptation logs and the complete history add some clarity to the situation because bricked BCMs aren't very common (without Byte 18 shenanigans).

    Hi Dana

The retrofit was never a problem. I had full access to that module many times after the retrofit which was a simple plug and connect. There also is no missing or gap in history. One day I had access and then I didn't. The many codes were from me disconnecting the battery and moving the main fuse block because that was the only way to access right side light bulbs for replacement with sylvania silver stars. Again I had full access to the module after that. As you can see from the above a simple clearing of the codes cleaned up everything except 9.

Module 9 communicates but when I run a scan it hangs and won't give me an error code for that module. The only way I can continue the scan is by hitting the done button when it hangs on 9 and then it continues. I am more than happy to pay for the live support to figure this out. Everything in the car is working without issues which makes this more confusing. How do I do the coding/adaptation logs? Thanks.

Low voltage may explain the communication problem . Have you connected a battery charger prior to attempting to access 09 directly or scanned it with the engine running? Although this is not exactly a CAN Gateway communication problem, you may even want to turn the 4-way flashers on to see if that helps.

You will find the CodingLog.TXT and AdpLog.TXT files in the C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug folder but make sure you check the Beta folder as well if you used both releases because the Debug folders are separate.
