ag13: so the storyline continues into yet another chapter!! When you say "restoring all items to oem status", do you mean restoring all items to the auto-scan that you posted on 21-aug-2014? Do you have any previous auto-scans (ideally, from before the RNS 510 retrofit)?

Of course, autos-cans can only ratify the coding values for control modules. To confirm that the adaptation channels are kosher, did you ever find the missing CodingLog.txt file (perhaps in the Beta RT directory) for changes made to the car after 24 September 2014?

Then there is Dana's suggestion about pulling the fuse and retesting the auto-scan. Was that done?

I only have in my system the new version of VCDS. I erased the other beta versions thinking that maybe that was the issue. Restored as in your breakdown as well as removing all lighting bulbs that I changed. Fuse(s) pulled no change.

Should I just replace the bcm and start again?

I know that you intended to return everything to factory settings, but I think we should make sure that really happened/was accepted before you spend money on a BCM. Can you post for us:

    1) A *current* Auto-Scan, as of now.

    2) A *historical* Auto-Scan, from before you made any of these changes? Apparently RT Support/Dana have one from you if you don't have it anymore.

I cant run the autoscan since it hangs up on module 9. I did find this in the ross-tech program file. Ignore last adaptation done today, was trying to see if dip mirror would work. Thanks,

If I am looking at this correctly, it appears that all mods I did to module 9 are not showing?

    I would try this:
    Change Coding of [42] / [52] back to: 0001204
Change Coding of [17] back to: 070901 (probably not necessary, but anyway)
Correct changes in [19] Gateway Installation list, check value in above file, becomes this: ED807F064006120000 (as you did dec. 7)
After this, take battery ground connection off, for about 30 minutes.

The coding and adaptation logs are good to have, but in your case, they don't have history before November 1st. They also don't show whether the attempt to change coding was actually successful. You started the thread about this problem back in August. I think we should firmly establish the state of the car before the changes that might be causing problems, and the state of the car as it is now, and figure out how to get back. The data you've shared isn't really enough to do that.

For a current Auto-Scan, you've said earlier you can press Done while it's hung on 09 and it continues. Can you do that to get a current scan?

For your historical Auto-Scan, can you dig up one that worked before your changes, or give Dana permission to share the one you sent to Ross-Tech support?

Niels just shared some coding stuff he'd like you to try. He has access to research resources that I don't, so it's worth trying. If it doesn't work, we're back to trying to figure out how to roll back your changes to restore 09 functionality, and for that we need data.

Ag13: I posted a copy of a more user friendly version of your CodeLog.txt file here . It might be better to download the spreadsheet (some odd formatting when viewed on dropbox). NEtech has probably done the same thing (my apology Mr NEtech)
Anyhow, there is only two changes to the BCM, both happened on 24 November 2014. You changed byte 03 and then rolled back to the original setting (looks pretty innocuous)

The real problem is that your 2nd CodeLog.txt file is AFTER the previous version that you posted (i.e. the 1st file had dates in Aug/Sept 2014 and the one above has activities in Nov/Dec 2014). From your description of events, I assume that your problems were encountered BEFORE the first CodeLog.txt file date.

PS: You appear to have been fairly persistent in trying to change the coding string for address 37! It's not related to your problem, but just out of interest, why?
