Im using the beta version of VCDS and I cannot tick ''rain closing'' under the RLS in 09 Central Electrics, its Byte 0, Bit 2.
When you tick the feature all I get is the following message : ''Coding rejected Error 31''.
What do I need to do to enable the coding to be accepted.....please help

ive tried it with 12.2 official and 14.7 beta, neither allow this to be coded, yes I have a rain sensor as its a GTi, please help...thanks for the replies

With the newest VCDS-beta 14.6.0 it's possible to activate the rainclosing feature! Coding 07E8DD (motorway light "ON" / rain light "ON" / Rain Close "ON") is now being accepted by the RLFS.

If I try any of the above they cannot be coding, just constantly get rejected, im thinking its a VCDS problem??? Dana can you help please?

How about trying to change one bit at a time, or at least only the bits in Byte 0?

Going from 00A8DD to 07E8DD is changing a total of 4 bits..

... just what is wrote 0110 = 06 ;)

It is not always logical you have to thick more bits to get it working, had the same "problems" activating cornering lights on my Golf V... sometimes you see it, sometime you don't.
