Hey all,

I have an 2011 Audi A6 2.0 4-cylinder that's been misfiring for quite a while. I changed out the coils and the spark plugs and that didn't help it at all. I've been trying to look at the fuel injection for the cylinders with VCDS but am having trouble. Using the measuring blocks isn't an option but when I try to use the Output tests for each cylinder but whenever I try the module rejects with "Refused by control module message 7F 2F 81".
Does anyone have any thought on what this means and how I can resolve it?

Thanks!

Please post an Auto-Scan for context.

Output Tests probably aren't going to be very helpful in diagnosing misfires.

It sounds like your ECU uses the newer UDS protocol, which means you have to use Advanced Measuring Values rather than the old-school Measuring Blocks.
