    Just use a multimeter. Black to GND (i.e. 12v/cigarette sockrt) and red to LIN wire (i.e. in the door coupling point or door motor). Use the wiring scheme to identify the correct colour of wire.

    First thing I'd suggest is to check all the fuses since there are quite a few reported to be broken. Perhaps a main fuse is gone. Did you check fuses for continuity or also for voltage?
