I would definitely physically remove the AFS master and take it out of the gateway installation list. You might need a resistor between the unused CAN low/high wires but it'll probably be fine for...

Typically on PQ35 BCM's, the lighting configuration is controlled by byte 18 and the underlying light config in the BCM EEPROM.

Not sure if that also applies to the 8X0 907 063 G in your car, if...

The latest as always, can be found here: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php

    Currently that's 19.6.2.

The 1K0 907 379 BL in my car certainly supports XDS and I'm sure that adaption channel is available once it's been enabled :)

Other tools will allow EEPROM access so with some experience and a wiring diagram, you can normally generate something close, if not identical to the stock config :)

If byte 18 was originally 00, then it might not be possible to restore the original lighting config using VCDS.

Where in the UK are you?

A few of us can probably come up with something close to the stock lcode but you'll need to post an autoscan to confirm what modules the car has :)

At a guess, the stock coding was probably similar to:

However, based on the capabilities of the module I'd use one of these:...

Your AFS slaves which are connected to the headlights are correct (7L6 941 329 B) so the dealer has sold the correct parts.

I'd agree with the above, pretty sure the Octavia only ever got 5M0 907 357 C modules rather than 5M0 907 357 D.

If you do replace it, try and get one with SW:0148 rather than SW:0142 :)

Chassis Type: 1Z-SK35 (7N0) is a MK2 facelift Octavia not a MK3, might be worth getting the thread title updated to avoid confusion.

If the AWD module has been checked, you should now check the wiring to it as most modules don't seem to be communicating with it.

Not sure what byte 04/12 is :/

As for byte 06/14, I think that's been 00 on every scan I found for an Octavia. Never seen any guidance apart from the 2 stage ESP off tweak that's popular.
