Can you see which k-line you're disconnecting (i.e. which system it leads to)?

The aftermarket radio fault would usually manifest as a k-line short to positive, as it's usually caused by radio harness adaptors linking the electric aerial output to the k-line.

K1 - Pin 7
K2 - Pin 15

Is pin 15 even populated in the OBD-II socket of that van?

Test your interface on another car.

It has a k line running to p15 so guess so and that's the one causing the issue.... tried 2 cables on van and both not reading... took dash off as much as i can and the kline is running up and behind steering column and possible down past gearstick but still trying to locate it .

My guess is that it goes to the airbag module. I'm not sure where that's located in this van though.

Are there any wires to pins 6 & 14 on the OBD connector?

If not then your T5 doesn't have any CAN diagnostics, so you could ignore that message.

Would be good if you try to do an Auto-Scan and share it with us, even with those error messages you are getting.

He did one, with a clone, hence Niels' comment, but he then deleted it the post that contains it. I seem to have missed that yesterday.
