I have a car with the front radar sensor but ACC is not enabled. Can you enable this in VCDS?

I am skeptical. I suspect this is one of those features that VW/Audi considers "Software as a Product". They do that now even for normal (not Adaptive) cruise in Europe.

Thanks. I will definitely run a scan and post it once I get my car in just over a week.

That being said I am dying to find out if I can turn this on.

Here is my exact car (below) It says it has the following features. Has anyone done this on a new A3 or know if it can be done?

- ABS w/ Brake Assist
- Audi pre sense basic (preventative occupant protection)
- Audi pre sense front (low speed collision assist)

Oh and you would need a need stalk set as well because you don’t have CC stalk with distance setting.

You cannot buy the SWaP. There's no catalogue item for it. FeC codes you need for ACC are installed to the car from factory and are bound to the cars VIN number. So whenever you need to replace a module that requires FeC (feature enable code) they are automatically installed to the car again from factory database via dealer online connection.
If your car NEVER had the codes, you will NEVER be able to get them unless you hack the factory database. Dealer is not able to change the codes.

However, there's another way. You can buy a hacked radar, install that and have the CP removed from it. And of course buy the new stalk set which you will need naturally as well.

Search Facebook for MQB coding and ask about the ACC retrofit from there. You should get help through there.

I know it's hard to believe but that's how difficult the retrofit scene is becoming.

Oh, and to say for sure if you need something else as well, we need the autoscan. It could be that new ABS pump is also required. Even your current one supports Front assist, it might not support ACC. And you need to change the rear ABS sensors to different ones unless your car has PLA which means there's also correct ABS sensors with that.
