2003 vw avh come in with multiple faults related to the t-body and customer got used one. with the new tbody i get code p3025--35-00 or 19481 angle sensor 1 for throttle drive 2 G 297 implausible. code doesn't show up right away and can take awhile to show up. The thing is this car doesn't have a g297??

when it came back after the used tbody was installed it had the following codes:

17579 angle sensor 2 for the throttle actuator g188 implausible
p1171-35-01

17972 throttle actuator j338
p1546 under voltage during basic settings

19481 angle sensor 1 for throttle drive 2 g297
p3025-35-10 implausible signal, intermittent

19391 idle control sys rpm
p0507-35-00 higher than expected

17551 load calculation cross check
p1143-35-00 upper limit exceeded

17553 mass air flow sensor g70
p1145-35-10 short to plus intermittent

after clearing and test driving the p3025 comes back first, the epc light comes on and the car goes into limp mode. Since its the one that comes back and doesn't seem to belong its what im focused on. Could it be the wrong tbody? another bad tbody or maybe im missing something else. I tried the wiggle test and checked the terminals at the tbody. Maf output looks OK. curios to see what people think. thanks in advance.

wiring checked ok. ecu maybe? not really easy to just put a new one in and see. dont mean to sound rude.

curious why the vag com is throwing a code for something this car doesn't have. thanks again for the help.

How did you test it?

Did you try unplugging consumers such as OXS sensors when condition exists?

Your car does indeed have this part in the WD in RTFB for DTC displayed in VCDS, right, and did you check the WD?

ok so my wiring diagram from alldata which is a Bentley track diagram does not show a g297 just the g188. its show no wires going to anything but the ecu. ive checked the wd twice now. Ross tech also has no info on this code, the p3025 nor does alldata. ive seen some reference to it searching the forums but not many replies and no conclusions. also, im not sure i fully understand what you said in your last post? I did not try and disconnect the o2 sensors. sometimes the car will be fine for a few days other times it has happened in a few miles. i can try and disconnet the o2 sensors i just didnt see a relation between the two. thanks for your reply's and help its defiantly appreciated.

You mean NO DATA right?

Could you please post a screenshot of this alleged WD?

P3025 & G297 Seems too be in the JPPSG no?

Looks like a G297 can be a G187 or maybe G188 no?

Maybe tone out as per pins directly & to verify, then see what changes in diagnostic stack for codes with a decade box?

Did you unplug the OXS sensors or consumers yet when the problem happens to see if problem vacates?

what do you think of the diagram, its listed as for the AVH. Do you have a screen shot of the one you are using that shows the g279? that would really help.

Nope figure it out on your own by asking yourself the aforementioned questions & by isolation would be much more fulling no?

Maybe you found a discrepancy and thank you for showing a screen shot it looks right to me what you have and maybe the stack is wrong, now figure out how with decade box, right?

Thank you for proving to me you are using a schematic.........

Did you check the grounds under battery as per TSB and overlay for ground lug to coil pack?

What part number MAF is in this because I suspect it is FOD?

17551 load calculation cross check
p1143-35-00 upper limit exceeded

17553 mass air flow sensor g70
p1145-35-10 short to plus intermittent

car is fixed. talked customer into a new throttle body and all is well. Nostrajackass thanks for your help, (good name btw) I dont not believe this car has a g297 even though others claimed it did. I suspect its the g187. I think they were not actually checking diagrams just repeating what the code said and i all ready knew. I think this maybe a fault with ross-tech software as i saw this problem mentioned other places but never resolved. When i called to talk to ross tech about this, they wanted to charge me $40 for a case file or something like that. I hope others find this looking for info on this code.
