Audi A1 1.6 tdi sport

Its the wifes car and she doesn't do many miles in it but tonight on her way to work it started to loose power first thought was its gone into Regen mode as its a real pain in the ass for doing that but after a scan it shows some kind of injector fault .
The dash has the heater coil light flashing and a message of engine control module fault please take to nearest dealer .

If anyone has an idea of where to look to solve this please add a reply

Did you check wiring to number 4 injector from controller using RTFB and WD and or swap injectors to isolate or see if fault moves?

Did you JPPSG yet?

I did check the wiring the best i could with no tools to hand and just the flash light on my phone no loose connections or wires that looked bad other than that until i can get it home tomorrow at some point swapping injectors around and testing with a multi meter will have to wait :(

Tried to use 08 measuring blocks i on vcds but the option is locked out so i had to use the advanced version . No what i cant work out is it seems injector 3 is the problem ( 2 from the scan as its numbered 0-3) IT seems as if their is no voltage at the injector so am i right in thinking that the injector has to send the information back to the control module for vcds to report the info ?????

Maybe the stack is labeled wrong in controller, did you unplug each injector to corelate a block value?

So just to add to the problems im having with the car i got my local garage to change injector 4 all fault codes gone and cleared (snap-on computer used) injector coded to the car and checked that the car has taken the coding but car now has a missfire at low revs and also you get diesel knock . My thinking here is either another injectors on its way out but not bad enough to throw a code yet or is there something that im missing .

Yes the injector was new the garage are struggling to understand it and have said see how the car runs over the weekend

^^^^ I would defer my comments to Jack's more experienced response, but are you sure that the new injector is sealed properly?

A healthy capacitance value has been re-established for the new injector (see the new micro farad value -uF), which suggests that the electrical side is OK .

So, logic tends to point to a fuel side problem - perhaps the mating surface between the injector and the cylinder head is not properly sealed - or less likely, a dodgy internal seal in the new injector?
