Hi,

I tired to connect my Hex-Net to the internet in infrastructure mode, but was unsuccessful. The red light flashed like it was trying, but never connected after repeated attempts.

Now it will not go back to AP mode and I cannot communicate with it with my iPhone at all.

I have tried: unplugging it, using the red button, accessing it using the Java App. The Java app connects, and I can edit the wifi set up data, and set it to AP mode, but it has no effect once the HN is plugged back in.

When connected the car green light is on steady, the wifi blinks red, and the CPU blinks green. Pushing red button has no effect unless I hold it for a few seconds and then all the lights go red, before going back to the previously described blinking.

Not sure what else to do. Please advise.

Thank you,

James

With the interface powered up (either from a car or from USB) hold the button for 45 seconds (time it please) then release. That should reset all your WiFi configurations.

Hi Uwe,

I pressed the button for 45 seconds as instructed, and it did reset the WiFi config. However, it still won't go into AP mode. I tried to toggle it in the car, but it didn't go to AP. I tried to manually select AP while using the Java App, but it wouldn't stick.

When I first got the Hex-Net the WiFi light was orange and I was able to connect via AP. Now the light is flashing red. (Although, when I reset the WiFi settings it turned green, I assume because it was connecting to my WiFi network while it sat on my desk. However, I was not able to communicate with the HN with my iPhone).

So other than on my desk, the WiFi light just flashes red.

Thank you,

James

James,

Sounds like it's time to swap it out for you, so that you have one that works as it should and so we can see what's up with that one. I've got you an Return Authorization number (140307RA1) but I'm going to need one of the other folks to enter an order for a replacement on Monday. You may want to bump this thread on Monday morning or send an e-mail to Support.
