Have another B6 Passat question.. I swear they follow me around
...
Have a shop who did diagnostics on a 2007 Passat, it kept having a high pressure fuel sensor problem. They replaced the high pressure fuel pump, and the sensor, ohm'd out the wiring from the sensor to the ECU. There manual said to replace the ECU. They sent away for a replacement ECU, it came programmed with the VIN and CS and Mac, when they put it into the car, it went into safe mode and is imobilized... I put there old ECU back in, read the VIN, CS, MAC and power class with AVDI, then put there new ECU in and looked at those values.. They were all the same... Hooked up VCDS, went to engine, put in pin, went to adaptation, channel 50, and it says error.. Went to 25, immo, put in pin, went to channel 50, and it also says error.. Read the info about replacing an ECU with immo 4 about the immo challenge, went to the ECU and read the immo challenge, not sure where to use that info though... This is the first time I have had an issue with the MED9.1.... Usually I can read the info from the ECU, then write that to a used ECU and put it in the car and the car accepts the ECU, I didn't want to mess with the ECU they had purchased and I didn't have a 3.6 MED9.1 laying around... Does anyone know if there is anything that needs to be done thru the imobilizer? or the ECU to make the car happy... Thanks for any and all ideas... And yes, I did a scan...
