I'm not Uwe, but when writing your message, click on the third icon from the right it looks like a square with a dot on each corner. In the "Insert Image" window that opens paste your link and click "OK". That should do it and you can send your message.

romad, somehow on my thread after saving it with this exact line above, exiting the page and reentering, it showed up.... some ghost playing around here... I inserted exactly the way I typed above - somehow it will not show the picture in this thread but on mine yes

GavGTI, Follow these steps:

1. In Imgur, click on the photo you wish to use
2. In the window that opens with the selected photo, to the photo's right will be a list of six links plus a list of sizes. For now leave the size as "Original"
3. On the second from bottom link named "BBCode (message boards & forums)" click on the copy button
4. Paste the link into your post and then preview your post
5. If the photo is too large and requires scrolling to the right, delete the image, return to Imgur, select a different size option, then click the BBCode copy button
6. Repeat step 4
7. If size is correct after either step 4 or step 6, repeat steps 1 through 6 as necessary for subsequent photos

Yes, you do. But the thing between the IMG tags has to be an actual image, not a web page.

What you linked to was something like this:

That's a web page, not an image.

Right click on the image in that page, then select View Image or Open Image in new Tab (or whatever your browser's equivalent is). The the URL in your browser will be something that ends in .JPG or .PNG (or some other image file extension). That's what you need to link to in between the IMG tages. Go back up the post I edited above, click Edit, and see what I did.

I'm also going to remove the other (failed) attempts you posted. There's no sense in leaving this thread cluttered up with them.

For anyone not wanting to register at Imgur.com to host a picture, click on the "+New post" green box in the upper left corner then you will see a screen where you can drag and drop an image. . It appears they want to trick everyone into registering.
