VW GOLF V GT 2.0 TDI (BMN engine) limp mode at 85 °C

Hi guys.
I’m having a complex problem with my VW GOLF GT 2.0 TDI (BMN engine).
I had the 150.000 km service done, changed timing belt and water pump, alternator belt, oil, oil filter, diesel filter, engine filter and air conditioning filter.
When ending the service, my mechanic cleaned the engine with a spray and finished with water. And this last step started a problem that i only found out 2 days later when I got a limp mode and a check engine light on.
Went back the garage and connected to VCDS and we found a P0299 error.
When we started to inspect what could have happened we found that some stripped wire and later we found some damaged and burned, specifically the wire connecting to the VNT actuator. I cannot tell if others were also burned.
Bellow you find a list of all material that has been changed, in chronological order. All these steps have been done because the previous step did not solve the problem. This is going on for almost 4 month now.

  • VNT actuator 03G253010A
  • N75 valve 1K0 906 627 A
  • MAF valve F00C262055
  • Rebuilt turbocharger 03G253010A
o Geometry
o Core
o Seal​

  • Rebuilt electrical cable
  • Tested ECU 03G 906 018 FB
  • Crankshaft pulse sensor 036 906 433 A
  • EGR MT2 valve 1K0 906283 A
  • Cleaned EGR
  • Intake manifold decarbonized, flaps ok
  • Cooling liquid temp sensor G62 06A 919 501 A
After finding out that there is an hidden menu in the AC, I discovered that limp mode occurs when the cooling liquid temperature reaches 85 °C, not before and always at this temperature.
Presently ECU is not recording any error message.
Do you have any idea of what is going on and can you help me?

Hi Jef.
That is the thing, the ECU is not recording any error.
Some weeks ago i took the car to a VW dealer and they said they had to push the car really hard to record an error, i don't think that is any heathy to my car, i wouldn't like to do it again.
Can't you help me without a scan with an error?
I can get an auto-scan but i don't think it will have any error.

Hello again.
After lwaving the car at the workshop for two weeks the folloing work was done:
Installed a new wiring 03G 972 619LC
ECU reinspected, all ok
VNT actuator 03G253010A reinspected, all ok
N75 valve 1K0 906 627 A reinspected, all ok
MAF valve F00C262055 reinspected, all ok
Turbocharger is making a whistle and will be checked

Managed to do two Auto-Scans, one with the car cold, no limp mode and a second one, after getting the limp mode.

Now, the only different thing is the error 00109 - Left Mirror Turn Signal Lamp (L131) 012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit, does this make sense to create a limp mode?
