Hello all , i'm trying to help my cousin with her jetta I believe this all to be from a bad ground or major wiring harness fault as all fuses are good and no sign of coolant mitigation.
there is a brake switch fault that dings while driving , yes e-brake is off pulled the harness of the e-bake switch and no change , don't know if the switch is normally open or closed haven't tried putting a jumper in the harness .
using measuring blocks it shows that the switch is working when pressing the brake pedal.
brake light and air bag light on both illuminated on the dash.
anything else to check before its up for sale ?

Brake Switch F is not the one for the e-brake; it's the one at the pedal. Common failure.

Clear the Airbag fault. Under what circumstances does it come back?

I check the pedal switch with measuring blocks so it is working . I cleared the codes a few weeks ago seem to come back almost instantly.
There's faults for central locking system but the key fob works fine .

IIRC, the pedal switch is actually two switches in one. Check wiring diagrams. MVB may only be looking at one of them.

Brake Switch F is not the one for the e-brake; it's the one at the pedal. Common failure.
Adding to that, the brake light switch must be installed with the pedal at rest NOT pushed down. We occasionally receive phone calls related to the incorrect installation of those replacement switches so I figured I'd mention it.

Is there anyways to see both switches via vcds ?
Also forgot to mention all brake lights work but cruise does not .
Is it possible to post up a wiring diagram and connection locations?
Thanks
