Question on Hex-V2 - 3 vin to 10 vin upgrade. When I upgrade, will the new vins be added to my current cable, or will a new cable be sent? Will the upgrade give me 10 new vin slots, or 7 + 3 from my existing cable? Thx

The page you presumably order from states:Hi guys, I’ve upgraded the vin to unlimited, anyone know how long it takes to process the order?
why is it called Labor Day if no one works ?Note that today is Labor Day,
For the same reason that we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway.why is it called Labor Day if no one works ?
Because , when you know what you are doing, its "fun" !PS: What do you mean "no one works"? What do you call what I'm doing here right now?
Oh that explains why my order hasn’t processed yet. Thanks! The page you presumably order from states:

Please Note: “end of day” can be late in the evening.
Note that today is Labor Day, one of the few major Holidays in the USA that the Ross-Tech office is closed for.

What? Where do you see that? A 10-VIN HEX-V2 definitely can be upgraded to Unlimited, you just can't get an Unlimited VIN license at the time of purchase directly from Ross-Tech.I see this comparison page it shows the HEX-V2 limited 10 Vin can no longer be upgraded to Unlimited Vins? Is that correct now?

Ah, got it, Thank you Uwe.What? Where do you see that? A 10-VIN HEX-V2 definitely can be upgraded to Unlimited, you just can't get an Unlimited VIN license at the time of purchase directly from Ross-Tech.

All VIN-Limited (enthusiast) interfaces are upgradable. 3-VIN to 10-VIN or 10-VIN to Unlimited at a cost of $169.
Ross-Tech only sells HEX-V2s with 3-VIN or 10-VIN licenses. Some of our distributors overseas sell them with Unlimited VIN licenses.i try to buy hex-v2 is not show me vin unlimited only 3 vin or 10 vin
Yes.Can one do an auto-scan and save that auto-scan as a file if you decline on registering the VIN of the vehicle you are scanning>
What generation A4? There are some conditions under which the interface and VCDS won't be able to get a VIN from the car (and power problems might be a contributing factor), in which case it won't ask you to register a VIN. If it doesn't, then: "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."I performed a g85 reset using my 3 VIN license on my father's A4. Never once was asked for a vin to be entered during the process including the log in for the module.
Yes, that's intentional. If at some point down the road, you sell your interface, would you want the next person, or the person after that, to be able to see all the VINs you charged against the license?but can't seem to find any place to see which VINS are registered!
VCDS keeps a log of VINs you've registered on your computer. I've forgotten the exact name of the file, but look in the Debug sub-folder. Whether that log is complete or not will depend on whether you've used that computer and that installation of VCDS to register all the VINs in question. I.e. if you've used different PCs or even different installations (for example Release and Beta, which are in different folders) then the logs can be spread out among them.Even to just see which VINs are registered to the dongle..
