How to get English version/translations of adaptation channel options in VCDS?

I'm new to VCDS and received my HEX-NET last week. I've downloaded and installed the latest version of VCDS and have been able to make some tweaks to my new 2017 VW GTI. However, in my version of VCDS, most/all of the adaptation channel options that appear in the pulldown menu are in German, and not in English like I've seen on other VCDS guides/screenshots for adapting the VW GTI. Is there a special menu or a separate download that will allow me to see these options in English rather than German? I'm all for learning German, but sometimes I need to make a quick change and don't have time to type everything into Google Translate. I've seen other video tutorials and screenshots where the options are in English, so I'm hoping there's a quick config change I can make within VCDS to show these in English.

One issue I am having is that I cannot seem to change the turn signal "comfort blink" setting through VCDS. Even though I increase it to 4 or 5 blinks and save the settings, the car just ignores it and uses the default 3 blinks. Anyone know if there's another hidden option/channel that needs to be changed in order to increase the number of blinks? I also tried the "soft reset" but that didn't help.
