New member and need a little help with the above topic

Procedure

Stage 1 - Engine basis settings - 04
The Adaptation off diff pressure sensor particulate filter - press GO to activate the basic setting

Stage 2 - Then select Resetting of learned values of diff pressure sensor particulate filter - press GO to active basis settings
Then Stop

However the stage two on my VCDS shows the following in the drop down mode

Reset learned values . quantity meter. unit and press. control .valve ----- IS this the correct precedure for stage 2 ???????

OK, where did you get the procedure you referenced above?

It looks to me like all you would need on this engine is:
Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter

I don't see why
Reset learned values quant. meter. unit and press. contr. valve
... would be needed here.

Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor (G450) Adaptation

The Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor (G450) Adaptation is performed based on the EDC Protocol which is shown in the upper left corner of the Open Controller screen
CAN Protocol (G450) procedure

Instructions should be populated in a pop-up balloon when connected to the controller in question with VCDS.

Key ON, Engine OFF
[Coding-2] or [Login-II] button
Enter the code shown in the VCDS pop-up balloon
[Do It!]
Switch Ignition OFF for 30 seconds

After the key is cycled back on the adaptation should be completed. If it is not completed, proceed with the next steps:

These steps must be repeated 5 times.

Ignition ON
Wait 5 seconds
Ignition OFF
Wait 40 seconds
Repeat 4 more times

Note: If a code is NOT shown in the VCDS pop-up balloon registered customers can Join our Forum -or- send the complete Auto-Scan via email with the recent repair history including the part number of the original/removed sensor and the new replacement sensor.

Hi,
I got fault code P2002. I think to change Differential Pressure Sensor. It is a VW touran tdi 2.0 from 2020. working with uds protocol. Can I adapt Differential Pressure Sensor with the method you wrote above ?

Can I adapt Differential Pressure Sensor with the method you wrote above ?
I don't think this engine has a traditional differential pressure sensor for the DPF. It only uses such a sensor for the low-pressure EGR.

Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor (G450) Adaptation

The Exhaust Gas Differential Pressure Sensor (G450) Adaptation is performed based on the EDC Protocol which is shown in the upper left corner of the Open Controller screen
CAN Protocol (G450) procedure

Instructions should be populated in a pop-up balloon when connected to the controller in question with VCDS.

Key ON, Engine OFF
[Coding-2] or [Login-II] button
Enter the code shown in the VCDS pop-up balloon
[Do It!]
Switch Ignition OFF for 30 seconds

After the key is cycled back on the adaptation should be completed. If it is not completed, proceed with the next steps:

These steps must be repeated 5 times.

Ignition ON
Wait 5 seconds
Ignition OFF
Wait 40 seconds
Repeat 4 more times

Note: If a code is NOT shown in the VCDS pop-up balloon registered customers can Join our Forum -or- send the complete Auto-Scan via email with the recent repair history including the part number of the original/removed sensor and the new replacement sensor.
UDS Protocol (G450) procedure

Key ON, Engine OFF
[Basic Settings]
Select Adaptation of diff. pressure sensor particulate filter
[Go!] to activate the Basic Setting.
After the result of Finished Correctly appears click [Stop]

Select Resetting of learned values of difference pressure sensor
[Go!] to activate the Basic Setting.
After the result of Finished Correctly appears click [Stop]

i have just change the differential pressure sensor.But I can not find the adaptation of differential pressure sensor in the list under basic settings. May be does my car not need it ? It is a 2020 model Touran tdi with UDS protocol.

The Part number which I have replaced is 04L906051 M. I baught a genuine part in VW same as fitted on my car with two pipe connection. Google says it is differential pressure sensore for DPF. I have driven over 100 km after replaced it (without adaptation). The engine light has not on yet. What is your suggetion ?

Wait, I thought Google was omniscient, and VAG has been known to mis-label things in their firmware. So if it was my car, I would do some digging into the repair manuals and applicable SSPs to find out how this stuff actually works. :)

Again, I don't think this engine has a differential pressure sensor for the DPF. It has a differential pressure sensor for the low-pressure EGR, and if you changed a differential pressure sensor, then I would suppose that's the one you changed. There is a Basic Setting for that one:

But I doubt this will fix your DPF fault.

I made a adaptation for EGR low pressure differencial pressure sensor.But car gets still same fault code(p2002) and gets still engine light on. Should I also make a resetting of learned values of EGR low pressure difference pressure sensor. But I can not find it in list on VCDS. Ther is only ''resetting of learned values of pressure sensor'' on the list. Can you help me ?
