Some more facts needed to clarify. What exactly You are trying to do? You made an Aux Heater retrofit or You are trying to start up heater in test mode or trying to add some features to heater system?

Apologies MartinsX, i was trying to enabled the "Parking Heater" function, which allows you to turn on the supplementary heater whenever you want.

i was trying to follow these instructions -

Go to address 18-Aux. Heat
enter the access code 22103.

Adapt channel 03 to value 1 then clear the fault codes

Adapt channel 09 to value 2
Adapt channel 04 to value 0
If the heater locks up again (after too many start-failure attempts) adapt channel 03 to value 1 then clear the fault codes.

i was getting the error 35 when trying this.


Not sure if i've set something up wrong, ive not been able to do regen either - been getting an error 11 why trying to do that.

think i might be having a grey moment somewhere.

i believe so, a friend did the same on his 2011 3.0 TDI Phaeton - i think they are basically same car.

is this problem linked to the error 11 do you think?

I don't think, I look at facts I can see. As by Your autoscan, You have no label files for engine nor for aux heater. This means, VCDS will not give You instructions in pop-up balloons for coding and adaption.
I'd suggest You to follow some logical steps: 1) ask Your friend to make autoscan from his car and post it here; 2) make full measuring blocks and adaption channels maps from modules of Your interest (01 and 18) from Your and Your friends car, post them here too.
Then we could compare HW and SW versions of both cars and probably figure out what mods are possible and how.
